Tour to the ship Glykofilousa IV

The Association of Industries of Attica and Piraeus (SVAP) and THEODOROPOULOS GROUP, in the context of the “Maritime Days 2018” events, co-organize a guided tour of GLYKOFILOUSA IV. With the participation of the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Piraeus.

“GLYCOPHILOUSA IV” is a two-way open-seater, an icebreaker that was built (over a period of seven months) entirely at the Theodoropoulos Shipyard, in Ampelakia, Salamina.

It was built by Greek craftsmen, in a plan drawn up by Greek Shipping cpmpany of Eytihia Petychaki.

Its specifications are to move to the sea with ice up to 70 centimeters and has dimensions of 107 meters in length, 18 meters in width, carrying capacity of 208 cars and 1,000 passengers.

The design of the ship with high-quality materials makes it a pole of attraction for both Greek and foreign visitors while at the same time competing equally with other well-known international shipyards.
