Signing of a Donation Contract for four Power Generating Couples in PV S “S”

MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE – PRESS RELEASE

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, the Contract for the donated supply and installation of four (4) generating pairs was signed, in another “S” type Frigate of the Navy, which took place in the hall of the Supreme Naval Council at the General Staff in the presence of the Minister of National Defense of Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos and is implemented in the framework of the program for the replacement of power generating pairs of frigates bearing the name “KYKNOS III”.

The said Agreement was signed by Mr. Panos Laskaridis, President of the “Aikaterini Laskaridis” Foundation, shipowner and Vice Admiral as a donor of the donation, the Chief of General Staff Rear Admiral Stylianos Petrakis PN, the Vice President of the company “BAUDOUIN” Mr. Emmanuel Tellier – L’Hernault, as a supplier, and the General Manager of the company “P. Theodoropoulos L.T.D.” Mr. Panagiotis Theodoropoulos, as installer.

Also present were the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, and the Chief of General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros.

The total cost, supply and installation, amounting to approximately one million euros, will be covered by Mr. Panagiotis Laskaridis.

This donation is an application to a third Frigate of the conversion that has already been implemented with absolute success in F/G “AEGEAN” and F/G “ELLI”.
